I've been thinking about how to write this post for a little while so here goes.
A few days ago I had a comment posted to me which I chose not to publish, not because of what the writer was saying but because of what they quoted. I have no intention of repeating what was said on my blog because I believe what was said was totally despicable.
The quote in question came from Penny Mellor's blog: davidsouthallexposed.blogspot.com

In this blog, Penny makes the most disgraceful references to Rita Pal's father.
Penny also goes on to say that she has traced all of Rita's blogs and internet activity back to Rita. In my humble opinion Penny is incapable of tracing anything, given that she also claimed she had traced this blog back to Rita. If you read some of my previous postings, you will see that I have had to give Penny lessons on the differences between ISP IP Addresses and email IP Addresses.
I cant help wondering what drives someone to be so incredibly vindictive and make the kind of comments I have read on that site. Are we not all adults?

One reaps what one sows.
I used to respect Rita until she started telling me who I could/couldn't speak to, who I could/couldn't write for, who I could/couldn't email. Rita made thinly vieled threats to provide a High Court Judge with evidence that I deceived him in 2001. Rita has made public references to my medical history. If I didn't know she has done this, and more, to many people I might get upset. Fortunately I deal with people alot scarier than Rita everyday so she is no more than an amusing distraction - that's not an attack on Rita.
Rita can't expect to throw punches and not get a few back in return.
I was the person who posted you this particular comment. I did not expect you to put this post up because of its disgraceful and sad content. I personally feel that comments of this nature and some of the racial comments flying around about this decent hard working doctor should not be allowed on the internet in blogs or anywhere else.
It did upset Dr Pal, who did not deserve to be treated in this way just because she has a difference of opinion. Her work is backed up with good hard evidence, we do not have to agree with her. It is good to have varied opinions.

I cant say I've seen Dr Pal do any of this to you but I have seen posts from you regarding my blog where you wrong assumed I was her, made racist comments about her command of the english lamguage and then posted her personal address all over the place.
In this case, Dr Pal had sown no seeds. The attack from you was unprovoked. I threw no punches at you at all.
People have differences of opinion all the time. It's what makes the world an interesting place. These should lead to discussion and not attack. I enjoy a good debate but personal attacks are not required!
